IBM SNA Service

If you connect to IBM then it is vital that you check the communication method being used. The SNA Connection Services are being withdrawn on 30th September 2003. If you are using SNA or are connecting by some other dial-up process then it is worth double checking that your existing process will work. In particular all SAA ETS users will need to upgrade to REIMS or consider an alternative connection process.

Alternative connection methods are available, namely - TCP/IP (point to point, or over the Internet) or X25.

We have assessed a number of alternative connectivity options and are confident that we can provide you with an effective and tested solution. These solutions are cost effective and should take no longer than a day to implement.
